Kristie Smee

INTRODUCING MISS KRISTIE
(Studio Director, Dance & Drama Teacher)

Kristie has over 21 years of teaching experience up her sleeve and has been a performing arts enthusiast from the early age of 5. Kristie has owned and operated her own studio for the past 19 years and loves nothing more than sharing her knowledge and passion with her Dancinality students.

Kristie is a fully qualified and registered teacher of the Royal Academy of Dance and currently acts as a mentor, tutor and practical teaching supervisor to the trainee teachers on the RAD’s Classical Ballet Teachers course. 2015 saw Kristie complete her training as a Royal Academy of Dance Examiner. She is one of only two hundred examiners world wide and is excited to further share her passion for ballet and dance as she travels internationally for work.

Kristie is also a qualified member of Ballet Australasia Limited and the National Dancing Association. Kristie holds her Certificate 3 in Dance Teaching and her Certificate IV in Dance Teaching & Management – both nationally accredited qualifications. Kristie also holds certificates in fitness and Zumba instruction as also coaches students to achieve their Certificates II & III in dance right here at the studio on a part time basis.

She also has countless experience in Drama, Singing and Musical Theatre and enjoys writing and directing her own theatre productions and end of year pantomimes.

As Kristie is an advocate for learning and education she has studied a BA of Arts majoring in psychology through the University of Newcastle.

Kristie has taught countless students who have now gone onto professional careers either as a performer or teacher within the performing arts industry. With some achieving contracts on TV series, Disneyland, Universal studios and many teaching and running their own studios here on the central coast and throughout Sydney and hunter regions.

Kristie has danced professionally as a caberet performer & childrens pantomime actor in her younger years. She originally trained here on the Central Coast under Angela Denman and in her later years was mentored and coached under industry professionals such Hillary Kaplin, Robin Hick, Mary Pass, Dario Phillips and Nacho Pop. Kristie now carefully balances her time between running the Dancinality Studio, Her work with the RAD and raising her three beautiful children with hubby Dennis.
