Dancinality dance school opened in January of 2002 at Point Clare Community Hall. Both students & staff were overwhelmed with the success we had during our first year. In 2003, Miss Kristie opened a second studio in Ettalong. In 2004 we moved to our own premises in Umina, where we spent three happy years. 2007 saw a positive move to our grand new residence at Woy Woy. Over the years Dancinality has operated out of other venues in the Kariong, Green Point & Narara Areas. The school now consists of hundreds of students who are all equally passionate about their dancing.
Over the years many Dancinality students have competed & placed in several Central Coast, Sydney & North Coast Eisteddfods and competitions. Many children have had the pleasure of representing our school at public venues and some have also been involved in professional work. The performance troupes have toured the Gold Coast several times, as well as the USA in 2011 , 2014, 2016 & 2019.
The school specialises in classical ballet, teaching the syllabus from the Royal Academy of Dance with our Studio Director actually being one of only 200 RAD Examiners worldwide. Our candidates have always enjoyed receiving wonderful results in their yearly examinations (100% pass rate) Dancinality also offers the opportunity for students to complete their Tap & Hip Hop exams through Ballet Australasia Limited. (Jazz exams also coming soon).
Everyone has had the enjoyment of performing in our end of year pantomimes, which are ever so successful. Our annual Production follows a story line written and directed by Miss Kristie. This allows both the drama and dance students the chance to display their many talents. There is a strong focus on Theatrical performance skills at our school with Drama, Musical Theatre classes on offer.
